Terms of service

By accessing or using Aperion, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a legally binding contract between you ("you", "your") and Aperion ("we", "our", "us"). Please read them carefully before using the platform.

The service

Aperion provides an AI-powered website monitoring platform. We analyse URLs you submit against accessibility (WCAG 2.2 / EAA), SEO, performance, content quality, conversion rate optimisation, usability, and AI search criteria. Results are advisory only and do not constitute legal, compliance, or professional advice. Accessibility reports generated by Aperion do not substitute for a qualified human audit or formal conformance assessment.

Account registration

To use Aperion, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to register. If you are registering on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company to these terms.

Acceptable use

You must not use Aperion to:

  • Submit URLs or websites you do not own or have explicit permission to monitor
  • Harm, harass, defraud, or impersonate any person or organisation
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent rate limits or security controls
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without a written reseller agreement from us
  • Submit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise harmful
  • Use the service in a way that disrupts or degrades its performance for other users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions.

Credits and billing

The service operates on a credit-based model. Credits are consumed each time a page is analysed by one or more agents. The following billing terms apply:

  • Subscription credits reset on your monthly renewal date and do not roll over to the next period
  • Additional credits may be purchased separately and do not expire for the duration of your active subscription
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • Refunds are issued at our discretion. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact [email protected]

Intellectual property

You retain full ownership of your website data, content, and URLs. By submitting content for analysis, you grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service.

Aperion retains ownership of the platform, software, AI models, analysis methodology, scoring frameworks, and all associated intellectual property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service during your active subscription period.

Data and privacy

Your use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time
  • Analysis results are complete, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose
  • Accessibility or compliance determinations are legally binding or replace a professional audit
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aperion and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these terms or the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the service at any time for violation of these terms, with or without notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply to the Aperion contracting entity identified in your order form, invoice, or other written agreement with us. If no separate written agreement applies, the mandatory laws of the jurisdiction from which Aperion provides the service will govern, subject to any non-waivable consumer protections that apply where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
